Playtime Deland was born out of something simple: two moms who believe kids need more places to just be kids.

Between us, we're raising 4 children — from a baby still learning to crawl to a teenager navigating high school, girls and boys, each one different, each one needing somewhere to run, climb, laugh, and figure out how to be a good friend. We've spent years on the other side of the play area bench, watching our own kids light up the moment they found a new friend to chase down a slide with. That feeling — the pure, uncomplicated joy of a kid making a friend — is what we built this place for.

We already own and run a playground in the Winter Park area, and it's been one of the most meaningful things we've ever done. Watching a shy kid find their confidence, watching parents strike up friendships over coffee while their kids play a few feet away, watching the same families come back week after week — that's what told us this wasn't just a business. It was a community.

One of us used to work in Deland and saw firsthand what the area was missing: a safe, joyful, indoor space where kids could play freely, no matter the weather, no matter the day. There was no place nearby for families to gather the way ours did in Winter Park. So we decided to bring that same feeling here.

Playtime Deland isn't just slides and ball pits. It's a place where kids build friendships, parents build community, and every visit adds one more happy memory to your family's story. We built it because our own kids needed it. We hope your family finds the same joy in it that ours has.

To give every child a safe, joyful space to play, explore, and make friends — and to give every parent a place to breathe, connect, and feel like part of something bigger while they do. A place where toddlers take their first wobbly steps on soft play mats, where big kids build the kind of friendships that last well past childhood, and where parents aren't just watching from the sidelines, but actually talking, laughing, and building community with each other. We want Playtime Deland to become part of this town's story — the place families think of first for a rainy afternoon, a birthday they'll never forget, or just a Tuesday that needed a little more joy in it.
